Yale University is launching a new initiative aimed at preparing African high school students for leadership. The Yale Young African Scholars Program is a high intensity week long program where secondary students will be taught to recognize and understand global issues, to develop strategies and learn how to use innovation to find solutions.
Typically offered at Yale’s main campus in Connecticut, Yale will be hosting its program for the first time at two locations: Ghana (from August 11-August 15th) and Ethiopia (from August 18th-August 22nd).
The program is free of cost to students.
The deadline to apply for both locations is May 9th.
