Young African Leaders Initiative sponsors the Washington Fellowship

Young people in Eritreia, South Sudan, The Gambia, Central African Republic, Mozambique, Liberia: President Obama wants you!

In 2010 President Obama launched the Young African Leaders Initiative to spur the development of the next generation of African leaders who can put their skills to use in their respective countries.

The Washington Fellowship is an opportunity for young African leaders to come to the United States where they will receive leadership training and advanced coursework on leadership skills and topics. The fellowship is open to about 500 young people from over 50 African countries.

The deadline to apply is MIDNIGHT, JANUARY 27, 2014.
