Black Excellence in America: An African Diaspora Perspective
Founded by Scholar/Historian Carter G. Woodson, Black History Month celebrates the achievements and contributions of African-Americans in the United States. But from the early 20th century onward, Black people from other parts of the Black diaspora emigrated to the United States in large numbers, contributing to the fabric of American society. Join us for a discussion on Black History Month from an African Diaspora perspective where we explore collaborations between African-Americans and the rest of the Black diaspora and examine the impact of the contributions of African-Americans on visitors and immigrants from around the African diaspora.
