Philadelphia joined the growing list of Nigerian communities around the world that have held marches, walks and vigils to protest police brutality in Nigeria. After being rained out on the originally scheduled date of October 16th, PNP Members came out in full force to make their voices heard and to show support for Nigerians calling on the Nigerian government to end to the violence committed by security forces against ordinary citizens. As protests widen in Nigeria and across the diaspora, PNP continues to stand in solidarity with those peacefully calling for not just an end to the violence but concrete reforms to improve the country. PNP will continue to collaborate with other members in the Nigerian community to organize additional future solidarity marches.
