Birthday Charity Brunch at Iron Hill Brewery

Friends, food and giving back, it doesn’t get better than that! PNP members showed their generosity by showing their love for the PNP Birthday Charity Brunch. Instead of cake we had delicious waffles, breakfast potatoes and other brunch delights đŸ™‚ But we as we celebrated another milestone for PNP Founder Chioma Azi, we also reached into our wallets to support those less fortunate in Nigeria. Sincere and deep thanks to everyone who joined us  at Iron Hill Brewery and for all of the generous donations. We raised more than $300 dollars!
Funds were raised for an organization called Medical Initiative for Africa Abuja, (MIFAA), a non-governmental organization  that raises awareness of the importance of preventative health care, and also provides health outreach services to under-served populations all over Nigeria. Led by Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, MIFAA is made up of about 50 medical and paramedical healthcare professionals who perform health education and awareness programs in various communities and also utilizes social media to spread its messages. MIFAA also provides direct services to various facilities around the country and collaborates with governmental, nongovernmental, corporate organizations, faith based organizations and individual Nigerians alike to impact its communities and educate them about health.
Previous events include free HIV/AIDS testing and counseling in Makurdi Benue State in December 2012, free health screenings performed in Onitsha, Anambra State for hypertension, diabetes, skin infections, eye disease and other disorders in January 2013, and a visit to a correctional facility in Minna, Niger state in January 2017 to provide free medical care to inmates.
